This stunning transformation of a traditional Tuscan home built in the early 2000s exemplifies the power of thoughtful remodel and renovation. After living in the house for 4-5 years, the owners sought to modernize the entire space, addressing their desire for a larger master closet, an updated kitchen, and the creation of a 4-car garage. They envisioned converting the existing garage into a movie theater and a formal office, as well as adding a separate art studio and remodeling the casita. The exterior, with its dated veneer stone and old roof tiles, also required a refresh, including the installation of a motor gate for added security.

The biggest design challenge was harmonizing the home's original curves and radius features with a more modern aesthetic. The scope of the project involved a complete gut renovation, including the addition of a spacious master closet and a reconfigured master bath that now boasts a luxurious steam shower. A wine room became a striking entry focal point, seamlessly integrating with the existing staircase and bar area. While the owners initially wanted to keep the traditional Tuscan fireplace, we modernized the fireplace wall, creating a perfect balance of old and new. The expansive kitchen features a massive island, brought in by a dedicated team of eight, alongside luxury vinyl tile flooring to withstand wear from their two large dogs, all while maintaining a sophisticated wood look.

This remodel also included a complete landscape overhaul with new decking, pavers, and gates. The project scope expanded to include all new electrical and plumbing systems, revealing previously undetected issues like wood rot from improperly sealed roof drains and the need to relocate the septic tank leach field. The owners' dream of a movie theater was realized, and with clever design configurations, they also gained an exercise room. Finally, black-painted window frames replaced the original tan, providing a striking modern touch without the need for complete window replacement. This comprehensive remodel not only enhanced the home's functionality but also elevated its overall aesthetic, proving that with the right vision and execution, any home can be transformed into a dream space.
